UPDATE: If you're interested in getting a pattern for this bag, would you be a doll and weigh in on this journal? It would help me a whole lot. ^_^

------------------------------------

A nod to the heroine of *radiomaru's comic series Scott Pilgrim. As far as I can tell, the colors are completely un-canon, but they're the colors I wanted - so there.

I'm gonna call this a prototype. I drafted the pattern and assembled it in one day, and I already have a list of tweaks for it. But for now, I am totally using this version as my purse.

Adjustable strap, pleather - soo much pleather. Cotton lining.

Do you have a pattern for the bag? I'd love to make one myself but I don't know what the style of bag is called and tutorials for it seem non-existant...

I'm working on adapting my pattern for others. Unfortunately, its kind of on the bottom of my project stack right now. First, I'll get the ones I am making for Desert Bus done; by then the pattern should pretty much be perfected.

There are also Etsy folks who sell bags like this. If you do an Etsy search for Scott Pilgrim you should find several.

Oh I've seen them! Trouble is, $70 is abit much, especially if I could make it myself...

Thanks anyway though! Hope your other project turns out well :D

OK, do stay tuned for the pattern, though. It's coming! Maybe not today, and maybe not tomorrow...

Oh man that's so awesome!

Is there any chance you're willing to make an exact copy of Ramona's in exchange for $$?

If so, that'd be wonderful.

Ok wow, you're is the second person who's asked, so I guess yeah? The cost would depend on materials, and whether you want to use it as a cosplay prop or an actual bag. (This one is lined and I use it as my purse.) All told, you're looking at around $80 on the low end.

You'd have to let me know what colors you think an "exact copy," would have, since the bag has a different color scheme on each of the Pilgrim covers it appears on, and the movie prop has yet *another* color scheme. (This is why I stopped trying to ref and just made it with the colors I wanted.)

If the price for a handmade one is too high, I do suspect Universal will be putting out some commercial ones around the time the movie comes out (and if they haven't planned to yet, they should hire ME! >:) )

Hmm, well, IF they don't make commercial bags, I know who to come to~~
