Things have been so quiet since Desert Bus, you'd think I'd disappeared wouldn't you?
I'm VERY CLOSE to finishing the digital version of the Starbag pattern. The SVG is going to require some tweaking, but for the most part I have to take on the task of writing the instructions. I want to have it as easy to understand as possible, so I'm taking my time on it. I do hope you'll understand.
I spent a good chunk of time working on a commission for a student group at USC's School of Cinematic Arts. Some of the intended recipients haven't gotten to see it yet, so I'm holding off on posting, but I was really happy with the way it turned out.
I'm doing sketches now for next felt mosaic piece. For those who have asked, the Majora bag won't be going on Etsy. The art was traced from some official Nintendo art. It's their design. However, if you're a Nintendo fan, you'll want to check out the next one. It will be nature themed, with a geeky twist.
I'm also working on some felt cameo brooches. As with most things, my goal is to take the concept to the next level. I'm cutting every part of the brooch - from the silhouette to the lacy edges - on the laser cutter, and employing some tricks I used on Majora as well as some new ones. Stay tuned.
